Antisemitism Experts React to University Report Card Failure

5A Media Release 15 May 2026 Antisemitism Experts React to University Report Card Failure

The Australian Academic Alliance Against Antisemitism (5A) has reviewed the “University Report Card Sectoral Assessment” issued yesterday by Emeritus Professor Greg Craven AO, the Independent Assessor appointed by the Australian Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism to conduct the Special Envoy’s Report Card process. 5A’s CEO, Alisa Pincus, noted: “5A is disappointed, but not surprised, by the reported sector-wide failure to take the first step in meaningful action against antisemitism on campuses: the adoption and operationalisation of a definition of antisemitism. We support the Special Envoy’s call for all universities to take prompt action to address these shortcomings.” Read full media release here.
